Gina is Turning 10!!

   I remember 10 years ago on a Snowy St Patrick's Day, little Gina Joy was born!  Oh, what a Wonderful Day!  Now 10 years later, she is a Sweet girl who we all Love!
   I have two pictures that I think are so Wonderful, because they show Gina Joy with Two very Important people in her life, Her Mema and Tata!  I Love these pictures so much because I Love the People in them.....
A few days before her 10th Birthday Celebrating with her Family!

How happy am I that God gave me my Loving Mother & Father and how great it is for Gina to have such Wonderful Grandparents!

May Gina Joy stay Close to the Jesus all the days of her life!

 And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today.  Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up.  Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders.    Deuteronomy 6:6-8

The heavens tell about the glory of God. The skies show that his hands created them. Day after day they speak about it. Night after night they make it known. But they don't speak or use words. No sound is heard from them. Psalm 19:1-3

I LOVE these verses, they are so very true, Our God created a world that "Speaks" of His Greatness day after day and night after night without using one word!!
All we have to do is look down and see a precious flower, there is God's fingerprint, right there in that delicate little colorful Flower!

Look up see the Magnificent trees! Their grandeur
and beauty speak again to us of God's Handiwork!

Look even higher and see the sky, the clouds, the sun, the moon, the multitudes of Stars....

 it is all too marvelous for words!!!

These are "Calling Cards" of the One True God, our Creator!

Oh what a marvel the Eye is, there again we see God's Powerful Touch.....

 .....Oh how the beauty of the Earth and each one of us, speaks of His Glory and Greatness!  Let us look around and see the splendor of His Creation, then let us Worship the Creator, not the Creation, but the one who put it all into place with just the Words from His Mouth.......
PRAISE GOD, LET US PRAISE HIM FOR ALL ETERNITY!!!

Psalm 150

 1Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.
 2Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.
 3Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.
 4Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.
 5Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.
 6Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

Fruit of the Spirit

Galatians 5:22-23a

  But the fruit of the Spirit is Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-Control.

It is imperative that we possess the Fruit of the Spirit......imagine if you possess all of these nine attributes?  I think we should pray every day that the Holy Spirit would cultivate this fruit in us.

I could never remember all Nine, I would always forget one.  So here is a key to remember all Nine.  There are 3 groups
  •  3 one-syllable words
    • Love
    • Joy
    • Peace
  • 3 two-syllable words
    • Patience
    • Kindness
    • Goodness
  • 3 three-syllable words
    • Faithfulness
    • Gentleness
    • Self-Control
Hope this helps you to remember all nine fruits so that you can ask for them in prayer daily!

A Gray Day

Today, another Gray Winter Day.....I actually shouldn't say "another" because we have been having so many pretty, bright, winter, snowy days....today there was the promise of snow, but if just didn't happen, at least not yet...so for now, it is snowless, gray, cold and once in a while chilling rain makes it just so much drearier.

So here I sit waiting for some snow to brighten up my day, eating cookies and waiting for customers!

One bright spot in my day so far was reading Proverbs 19 - 20 this morning,  I love Proverbs, Disconnected Truths that are truly, Pearls of Wisdom.
Here are some of the verses that stood out to me:

Proverbs 19

 2 Enthusiasm without knowledge is no good;
      haste makes mistakes.

3 People ruin their lives by their own foolishness
      and then are angry at the Lord.

 8 To acquire wisdom is to love oneself;
      people who cherish understanding will prosper.

 11 Sensible people control their temper;
      they earn respect by overlooking wrongs.

14 Fathers can give their sons an inheritance of houses and wealth,
      but only the Lord can give an understanding wife.

 15 Lazy people sleep soundly,
      but idleness leaves them hungry.

16 Keep the commandments and keep your life;
      despising them leads to death.

17 If you help the poor, you are lending to the Lord
      and he will repay you!

18 Discipline your children while there is hope.
      Otherwise you will ruin their lives.

19 Hot-tempered people must pay the penalty.
      If you rescue them once, you will have to do it again.

 20 Get all the advice and instruction you can,
      so you will be wise the rest of your life.

21 You can make many plans,
      but the Lord’s purpose will prevail.

 22 Loyalty makes a person attractive.
      It is better to be poor than dishonest.

 23 Fear of the Lord leads to life,
      bringing security and protection from harm.

 24 Lazy people take food in their hand
      but don’t even lift it to their mouth.

 26 Children who mistreat their father or chase away their mother
      are an embarrassment and a public disgrace.

 27 If you stop listening to instruction, my child,
      you will turn your back on knowledge.

Proverbs 20

 5 Though good advice lies deep within the heart,
      a person with understanding will draw it out

7 The godly walk with integrity;
      blessed are their children who follow them

10 False weights and unequal measures— the Lord detests double standards of every kind.

 11 Even children are known by the way they act,
      whether their conduct is pure, and whether it is right.

12 Ears to hear and eyes to see—
      both are gifts from the Lord.

 13 If you love sleep, you will end in poverty.
      Keep your eyes open, and there will be plenty to eat!

14 The buyer haggles over the price, saying, “It’s worthless,”
      then brags about getting a bargain!

 15 Wise words are more valuable
      than much gold and many rubies.

 17 Stolen bread tastes sweet,
      but it turns to gravel in the mouth.

 18 Plans succeed through good counsel;
      don’t go to war without wise advice.

19 A gossip goes around telling secrets,
      so don’t hang around with chatterers.

 20 If you insult your father or mother,
      your light will be snuffed out in total darkness.

 21 An inheritance obtained too early in life
      is not a blessing in the end.

 22 Don’t say, “I will get even for this wrong.”
      Wait for the Lord to handle the matter.

23 The Lord detests double standards;
      he is not pleased by dishonest scales.

 24 The Lord directs our steps,
      so why try to understand everything along the way?

 30 Physical punishment cleanses away evil;
      such discipline purifies the heart.

 Oh my Gosh, I have written out almost both chapters in full!!  But each verse is so chock full of Wisdom that I could not resist....Please read them over and over and let them sink down in your soul, listen to the Wisdom of the One True God!!

Count it All Joy,
Kathy

PS - it is now snowing  :)
