Gina is Turning 10!!

   I remember 10 years ago on a Snowy St Patrick's Day, little Gina Joy was born!  Oh, what a Wonderful Day!  Now 10 years later, she is a Sweet girl who we all Love!
   I have two pictures that I think are so Wonderful, because they show Gina Joy with Two very Important people in her life, Her Mema and Tata!  I Love these pictures so much because I Love the People in them.....
A few days before her 10th Birthday Celebrating with her Family!

How happy am I that God gave me my Loving Mother & Father and how great it is for Gina to have such Wonderful Grandparents!

May Gina Joy stay Close to the Jesus all the days of her life!

 And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today.  Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up.  Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders.    Deuteronomy 6:6-8

The heavens tell about the glory of God. The skies show that his hands created them. Day after day they speak about it. Night after night they make it known. But they don't speak or use words. No sound is heard from them. Psalm 19:1-3

I LOVE these verses, they are so very true, Our God created a world that "Speaks" of His Greatness day after day and night after night without using one word!!
All we have to do is look down and see a precious flower, there is God's fingerprint, right there in that delicate little colorful Flower!

Look up see the Magnificent trees! Their grandeur
and beauty speak again to us of God's Handiwork!

Look even higher and see the sky, the clouds, the sun, the moon, the multitudes of Stars....

 it is all too marvelous for words!!!

These are "Calling Cards" of the One True God, our Creator!

Oh what a marvel the Eye is, there again we see God's Powerful Touch.....

 .....Oh how the beauty of the Earth and each one of us, speaks of His Glory and Greatness!  Let us look around and see the splendor of His Creation, then let us Worship the Creator, not the Creation, but the one who put it all into place with just the Words from His Mouth.......
PRAISE GOD, LET US PRAISE HIM FOR ALL ETERNITY!!!

Psalm 150

 1Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.
 2Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.
 3Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.
 4Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.
 5Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.
 6Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

Fruit of the Spirit

Galatians 5:22-23a

  But the fruit of the Spirit is Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-Control.

It is imperative that we possess the Fruit of the Spirit......imagine if you possess all of these nine attributes?  I think we should pray every day that the Holy Spirit would cultivate this fruit in us.

I could never remember all Nine, I would always forget one.  So here is a key to remember all Nine.  There are 3 groups
  •  3 one-syllable words
    • Love
    • Joy
    • Peace
  • 3 two-syllable words
    • Patience
    • Kindness
    • Goodness
  • 3 three-syllable words
    • Faithfulness
    • Gentleness
    • Self-Control
Hope this helps you to remember all nine fruits so that you can ask for them in prayer daily!

A Gray Day

Today, another Gray Winter Day.....I actually shouldn't say "another" because we have been having so many pretty, bright, winter, snowy days....today there was the promise of snow, but if just didn't happen, at least not yet...so for now, it is snowless, gray, cold and once in a while chilling rain makes it just so much drearier.

So here I sit waiting for some snow to brighten up my day, eating cookies and waiting for customers!

One bright spot in my day so far was reading Proverbs 19 - 20 this morning,  I love Proverbs, Disconnected Truths that are truly, Pearls of Wisdom.
Here are some of the verses that stood out to me:

Proverbs 19

 2 Enthusiasm without knowledge is no good;
      haste makes mistakes.

3 People ruin their lives by their own foolishness
      and then are angry at the Lord.

 8 To acquire wisdom is to love oneself;
      people who cherish understanding will prosper.

 11 Sensible people control their temper;
      they earn respect by overlooking wrongs.

14 Fathers can give their sons an inheritance of houses and wealth,
      but only the Lord can give an understanding wife.

 15 Lazy people sleep soundly,
      but idleness leaves them hungry.

16 Keep the commandments and keep your life;
      despising them leads to death.

17 If you help the poor, you are lending to the Lord
      and he will repay you!

18 Discipline your children while there is hope.
      Otherwise you will ruin their lives.

19 Hot-tempered people must pay the penalty.
      If you rescue them once, you will have to do it again.

 20 Get all the advice and instruction you can,
      so you will be wise the rest of your life.

21 You can make many plans,
      but the Lord’s purpose will prevail.

 22 Loyalty makes a person attractive.
      It is better to be poor than dishonest.

 23 Fear of the Lord leads to life,
      bringing security and protection from harm.

 24 Lazy people take food in their hand
      but don’t even lift it to their mouth.

 26 Children who mistreat their father or chase away their mother
      are an embarrassment and a public disgrace.

 27 If you stop listening to instruction, my child,
      you will turn your back on knowledge.

Proverbs 20

 5 Though good advice lies deep within the heart,
      a person with understanding will draw it out

7 The godly walk with integrity;
      blessed are their children who follow them

10 False weights and unequal measures— the Lord detests double standards of every kind.

 11 Even children are known by the way they act,
      whether their conduct is pure, and whether it is right.

12 Ears to hear and eyes to see—
      both are gifts from the Lord.

 13 If you love sleep, you will end in poverty.
      Keep your eyes open, and there will be plenty to eat!

14 The buyer haggles over the price, saying, “It’s worthless,”
      then brags about getting a bargain!

 15 Wise words are more valuable
      than much gold and many rubies.

 17 Stolen bread tastes sweet,
      but it turns to gravel in the mouth.

 18 Plans succeed through good counsel;
      don’t go to war without wise advice.

19 A gossip goes around telling secrets,
      so don’t hang around with chatterers.

 20 If you insult your father or mother,
      your light will be snuffed out in total darkness.

 21 An inheritance obtained too early in life
      is not a blessing in the end.

 22 Don’t say, “I will get even for this wrong.”
      Wait for the Lord to handle the matter.

23 The Lord detests double standards;
      he is not pleased by dishonest scales.

 24 The Lord directs our steps,
      so why try to understand everything along the way?

 30 Physical punishment cleanses away evil;
      such discipline purifies the heart.

 Oh my Gosh, I have written out almost both chapters in full!!  But each verse is so chock full of Wisdom that I could not resist....Please read them over and over and let them sink down in your soul, listen to the Wisdom of the One True God!!

Count it All Joy,
Kathy

PS - it is now snowing  :)

Valentine's Day

Well, well, well, another Valentine's Day has come and gone!  Started out very well, somewhere in the midde of the day it went very wrong and now I just have a headache!!

In our message today at church one of the things said was; "don't look at what you don't have, but look at what you do have"  Sooo I am going to try and live life that way from now on.
The things I do have that gave me joy on this Valentine's day were;

Oh course, the Love of Jesus and the Salvation of my soul
My whole family, especially my parents
A wonderful e-card from my niece, Gina
Natalee and Lola who spent the day with me
and Jeremy who spent the day with me
A Wonderful Church and Church Family where I spent the morning
Great friends on facebook who encouraged me through another Valentine's Day without a Valentine!

So all in all, I guess the Pastor was right, when you concentrate on what you do have instead of what you think you are lacking, it does seem a whole lot better!! ~~
Thank you Jesus for all that I do have, all that you have given me, especially for your Love and care~Amen

A Merry Heart is like Medicine!

Today, I am thinking of the Bible verse;

A merry heart does good, like medicine, But a broken spirit dries the bones.    Proverbs 17:22

     So I have posted a video below to give you a Merry Heart! :)

**Please Go to the bottom and Pause Music before you Watch**
**Please Go to the bottom and Pause Music before you Watch**

  So let's remember that God wants us to have a merry heart because that promotes health and when we are sad from a broken spirit it says it dries our bones, which means to me that it saps life out of you....so let us be JOYFUL .......

Also Always remember to pray for the Fruit of the Spirit everyday, think of how that would effect your life and the people around you!

But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control. There is no law against these things!          Galatians 5:22-23

God Bless your Day,  may it be Merry and Fruitful!

Out my Back Window

Good Evening......Here are some pictures from my back window.....I just love when God paints the skies with these beautiful Colors,  just wanted to share.  Of course in person it looked even better, with the pure white snow and the pink and blue skies!

Isaiah 1:18-19

   Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.  If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land

Snow Day!!

 I LOVE the SNOW!!

Job 37:5-7

  God's voice thunders in marvelous ways;
       He does great things beyond our understanding.
  He says to the snow, 'Fall on the earth,'
       and to the rain shower, 'Be a mighty downpour.'
  So that all men He has made may know his work,
       He stops every man from his labor.

Enjoy Your Day!

Day 3

This is just a shorty to say Hello, I hope everyone had a great day!  Just looking forward to the snow storm that is supposed to come our way!  My day didn't start out too well, but ended up very nicely!  I would just like to leave everyone with a Bible verse before I go to bed;

1 Corinthians 13:1-3

Love Is the Greatest
  If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.  If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing.  If I gave
everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it;  but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing.

Let us remember to Love one another and to abide in love and to win people over with our Love, the Love of Christ in us.  Also keep the below verse in mind.

1 Corinthians 13:13
But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.

In His Love, kathy  <><

PS Pictures were taken in the Bronx and were on the side of an auto body centerI love the "One Way" sign  :)

Day 2

Well, Day Two of this Blog!  I still do not have anything too witty to say, hope I get the hang of this soon!  :)

Natalee, Lola and I went to Church tonight for our Craft Night and painted "Shabby Chic" picture frames.

I painted a pretty mirror frame and a shelf (pictured above).  I had that unfinished corner shelf for around 2o years, No Joke!!  .....I was at the class, had to run home to get something for Sarah, came back and saw that Jodi brought in a shelf, I thought, "oh my gosh, I have that cute little unfinished corner shelf that has been following me for 20 years now!!"  Bought it way back when I was in Huntington Village, and traveled to each place I lived since then....so I ran home, again, got the shelf and painted it, so happy, it turned out nice, both are pictured above.  Natalee and Lola painted cute frames and hearts....Lola also painted;   her hair, hands, face, clothes  :)  ..........

Well, this morning I spent time in Matthew 5....I really love the particular verses below that have to do with being the Salt and the Light....

Matthew 5:13-16
Believers Are Salt and Light
13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.
14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

 These verses are very important verses and are very self explanatory....I just pray that we, as Christians, take them to heart....let us NOT lose our saltiness or hide our light....However, I pray that we will do good works so that God our Father will be Glorified and that we will be Righteous Ambassadors for Him, so that people will Come to know Christ and give Him All of the Glory.  Lord, that is my prayer.

Good night all, May God richly Bless you as you go out and be Salt and Light in this dark world!

Count it All as Joy,
kathy :)
